DTS-Si version 2.0 Unvieled By Bajaj
Bajaj Auto claims that it is ready with the world's most fuel-efficient motorcycle engine series, with its DTS-Si version 2.0 technology. The company says it will launch its first motorcycle with this new engine series in July this year.
According to a press release from Bajaj, the major innovations in this new engine - of undisclosed capacity - include improved DTS-Si engine for faster combustion and better efficiency, oval pent roof combustion chamber for near complete combustion with lean air fuel ratios, Molykote piston for reduced friction and improved engine efficiency and ExhausTEC technology for better torque delivery.
'We will offer customers an unbeatable value proposition with the launch of the world's most fuel efficient bike. As fuel is the single major cost of running and operating a two-wheeler, we believe that this vehicle will have a huge appeal and relevance for the cost conscious customer,' says S Sridhar, CEO Two-Wheelers, Bajaj Auto.
