Prakash Raj (South Indian actor) is doing add for Hero Honda Splendor while bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra has been added in the Hero Honda Pleasure commercial. Bajaj Auto is promoting its flagship model, Bajaj Pulsar and Discover at the international level with Hollywood models. Yamaha India, the 1st sports bike maker of India has been tied-up with John Abraham for its all series bikes. On the other hand, popular film actor Aamir Khan is the brand ambassador for Mahindra bikes and Kareena Kapoor is doing add for Mahindra Flyte.
Indian cricket team caption Mahindra Sing Dhoni can be seen in the advertisement of TVS Star City while Tennis Sanitation Sania Mirza looks impressive in the advertisement of TVS Scooty. Vibgyor Vehicle, the new entrant in 2 wheeler market also has appointed Sourabh Ganguly (ex-Indian cricket team captain) for its bike's promotion. The other major domestic key player like Royal Enfield, Suzuki and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India also doing add for the bike but not with popular faces. Yamaha Reports 30.7% Annual and 69.7% Growth in December 2010
Yamaha India Motor which is a 100% subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Japan (YMC) is doing well in Indian market with its reliable and very good performer 2 wheelers. Yamaha Indian Motor is the 1st company who had stared the sports model in the commuter segment such as Yamaha R15. Yamaha India Motors is getting good response from market and reported the 69.7% sales growth with total units sales of 34839 in the month of December 2010 as compared to 20529 units in the same month the year of 2009. This is a big achievement by the Yamaha in Indian market.
The annual report of the bike company is positive and in favour. It had clocked sales of 350264 two wheeler in 2010 as compared to 26,7895 units in 2009 which is the 30.7% more than last year. YIM is the doing well in the domestic market along with export. It had sold 258,987 units in 2010 as compared to 218,625 units in 2009 which accounts 18.5% more than previous year. On the other hand, it has achieved 85% growth in this year with total sales of 91,277 units as a compared to 49,270 units in 2009. The Yamaha India has exported 8272 bikes in the month of December 2010 as compared to 6917 motorbikes in the year of 2009, while the domestic sale is almost just double with 26567 units as compared to 13612 units in 2009.
Yamaha Motors Indian always comes with latest and new technology which attracts everybody and it has recently launched Yamaha SZ series (Yamaha SZ, Yamaha SZ X and Yamaha SZ R) and Yamaha FZ 1 while the major 2 wheelers of the company's are Yamaha VMAX (1,679cc), Yamaha MT01 (1,670cc), Yamaha YZF R1 (998cc), Yamaha Fazer (153cc), Yamaha FZS (153cc), Yamaha FZ16 (153cc), Yamaha R15 (150cc), Yamaha SS 125 (123cc), Yamaha YBR 125 (123cc), Yamaha YBR 110 (106cc) and Yamaha Crux (106cc).
