Yamaha V-Max Launched alongwith 3 limited edition variants of FZ Series

Yamaha Motors India has launched the 2009 model of V-Max in Indian market. V-Max is priced at Rs. 20,00,000 (Ex-Showroom New Delhi).

Today, along with V-Max Yamaha also launched 3 limited edition variants of FZ Series:

- FZ16 Limited Edition
- FZS Limited Edition
- Fazer Limited Edition

Limited Edition FZ variants are similar in term of engine and technology - the only change is that they come in all new diamond white shade with combination of blue. All 3 are available with white finish alloy wheels.

Powering the 2009 VMAX is an all-new 1679cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC 65 degree V4 engine which has been designed to offer an unforgettable acceleration experience created by higher levels of power, and an imposing design. The engine develops maximum power of 194 Bhp at 9000 rpm with maximum torque of 170 Nm at 6500 rpm.

New Honda Activa Launched!!

Honda Activa was the first scooter launched by Honda in India. It has been designed as a family two-wheeler and features higher load carrying capacity. Now, Honda India has come up with all new Activa with major styling changes all around.

Following changes/additions have been made in new activa:

  • Redesigned headlamps with integrated clear lens indicators.
  • All new clear lens tail lamp with integrated clear lens indicators.
  • Impact resistant ABS plastic panels.
  • New 109cc 4 Stroke 8 Bhp engine.
  • Redesigned front and rear section.
  • New CBS System which applies front braking force whenever the rear brake is operated.

Honda new Activa gets a redesigned front and rear section. The front is dominated by curvy and aerodynamic styling with redesigned headlamps. Clear lens turn indicators dominates the rear. Honda has used impact resistant ABS plastic panels to reduce the overall weight of the two-wheeler. The new activa is priced Rs39,800 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the standard variant.

The new activa is available in following six shades:

  • Grey metallic
  • Candy lucid red
  • Mettalic Black
  • Force silver metallic
  • Wild purple metallic
  • Pearl sunbeam white

TVS Motors Cuts Two-Wheeler Prices

TVS Motor Company has cut its two-wheeler prices on its various products under various categories by up to Rs. 2000. The move comes following the 4 percent reduction in CENVAT announced by the government last week.

According to H S Goindi, Senior Vice-President of Sales, TVS Motors, "The overall range of price cuts varies between 700-2,000 rupees for all scooters and motorbikes. We have passed on the benefits (of the excise duty cut) to the customers." The prices are effective from Wednesday and are applicable across India.
