Yamaha SZ Bike Tour Comes From Four Corners of India To Kochi

20 selected bikers riding Yamaha bikes from the four corners of India, riding across various places, covering more than 12,000 kms across 17 states and 67 cities in 32 days have reached Kochi to rock the huge funfare and festivals. Renowned singer Benny Dayal along with some other fun actions put together welcomed the riders and marked the culmination of the tour. All this is taking place as part of the Yamaha SZ Tour – the bike which is designed to tour long distances.

The Yamaha SZ Tour was flagged off on the 15th of September from Yamaha’s plant at Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was a month long expedition in which 20 riders (10 each from Team A and Team B) covered the length and breadth of the country across 67 cities in 17 states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Yamaha dealers in all 67 cities had given a warm welcome to the riders of the tour.

The tour also promoted Yamaha’s safe riding education program – Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) for inculcating safe riding habits and raising traffic safety awareness among local communities.  Commenting on “Yamaha SZ Tour”, Mr. Yutaka Terada, Director – Sales & Marketing, India Yamaha Motor said, “Through the YAMAHA SZ tour, we aimed to appeal & reach out to a wider section of urban and rural consumers We also wanted to demonstrate Styling and Comfortable riding of SZ models and we are pleased that Yamaha SZ has proved to be a powerful commuter that can be pushed to its extreme on the highway and within the city.

Yamaha SZ Tour Begins

Yamaha India today flagged off its SZ tour from Greater Noida to promote its new 150cc commuter bikes SZ and SZ-X which is also aimed at spreading alertness about safe riding behavior The tour is a 30 day pan India assembly which after passing through 67 cities across 17 states (Delhi,Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat,Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Goa, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh) will finish at Cochin on 17th October 2010. The tour consists of 20 riders separated into two groups of 10 each who will take different routes to reach the purpose Along their way, Yamaha dealers from respective cities will welcome the riders upon their visit. According to Yamaha India's chief executive and MD Yukimine Tsuji, the pan India rally is an challenge to attract a wider viewers (read potential customers) by displaying the bike's styling, good mileage and comfy ride. The entire distance of the tour is over 12000km.

Yamaha India Launches 3 New Bikes

Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha on Wednesday launched three bikes in India priced between Rs 47,000 and Rs 59,000 a unit. The three motorcycles - SZ, SZ-X and YBR 125 -were unveiled in Greater Noida by actor and Yamaha brand ambassador John Abraham While SZ and SZ-X are powered by a 153cc engine, the YBR 125 will run on a 123cc engine.

"The launch of these three bikes are in line with Yamaha's true commitment to provide world class product to its customers. "We are confident that these bikes will capture the imagination of the whole generation of bikers who are looking for something extra," India Yamaha Motors chief executive officer and managing director Yukimine Tsuji told reporters.
