Hero Honda Hunk & Splendor+ Special Edition

Festive seasons are considered an auspicious time for vehicle purchases and Hero Honda knows the importance of the festive season. After the recent launch of the new Karizma ZMR they have announced two new variants of their existing models - the Hunk and the Splendor+ which by the way has sold over one crore unit!

The Hunk that is targeted at the youngsters with its muscular looks now in its new avatar features special Macho Ebony Grey colour treatment which is carried over to the rear grab handles, side cover, foot rest & handle bar, and has body-coloured rear view mirrors along with contemporary stickering on the fuel tank and the raging bull insignia on the tank shrouds it now also features red coloured rear shock absorber springs.

The Splendor has been Hero Honda's highest and oldest selling bike which now boasts of new-look graphics, gold colour treatment for Splendor+ emblem on side cover and Hero Honda logo on fuel tank, visor and console. The Special Edition Splendor+ features the all black engine, alloy wheels, and front fork among many other changes. But true to its tradition of assigning designers more work than their 'busy' R&D lads the world's largest two wheeler manufacturer has yet again made no mechanical upgrades to these bikes whatsoever.

CARPLUS Stores from TVS Motors for Auto Accessories

It's the age of retailing and more car manufacturers are entering systematic retailing market looking at the growing economy and changing buying patterns. As India remains unfazed by the economic crisis around the world, Indian buyers still hold better purchasing power.

TVS Motors has now entered the car accessories market with its 'CARPLUS' stores to sell auto accessories in the retail market. Lucas India Service Limited, a part of TVS Motors will own these stores in India and will offer complete range of car accessories under one roof.

The first car store of CARPLUS is located in Gurgaon spread over an area of 4000 sq. ft. the showroom is well-equipped with world class accessories and showcases an impressive range of the same.

"With the number of new passenger car models being launched in India, the car accessories market is all set to witness an exponential growth over the next few years. Currently, 35-40 per cent of the total car accessories market estimated at Rs. 4,200-4,500 crore lies in the unorganized sector. It is imperative, therefore, for players like Lucas to carve a niche in the mind of the consumer and bring home the value proposition.Given the nascent state of organized retail and the rapid evolution of the industry, it is crucial for retailers, manufacturers, real estate developers, logistics providers and partners along the value chain to work in a collaborative spirit," said Arvind Balaji, director, Lucas Indian Service Limited.

SAVSOL Ultra 4T 125CC Plus

Savita Chemicals Limited has launched a dedicated 125 CC engine oil for motorcycles. The product has been christened SAVSOL Ultra 4T 125CC Plus. The company claims that there is 35% less carbon coupled with 54% less camwear in SAVSOL Ultra 4T 125CC Plus than conventional 4T Oils.

SAVSOL Ultra 4T 125CC Plus is available in 1 litre pack which retails for around Rs.203 while the 900ml pack is priced at Rs.183 across India through Savita's extensive distribution network.

According to Maharaj K Wazir, President, Savita Chemicals Ltd, the company for the first time in India has provided a genuinely high technology dedicated 4T Oil for motorcycles having engines of 125CC capacity and above. He further added that SAVSOL Ultra 4T 125 CC PLUS will perform equally well in a 100CC Engine.
