Chris Pfeiffer graces Mumbai
On May 1, 2010, Mumbai city welcomed, for the first time, the world stunt biking champion, Chris Pfeiffer. Crowds from all over the city gathered at the Inorbit Mall (Malad) to see the 4-time World Stunt Riding Champion (2003, '07, '08, '09) and 4-time European Stunt Riding Champion (2004, '06, '07, '08) exhibit his two-wheeling talents. To say that Germany-born Pfeiffer is an entertainer would be an understatement after watching him physically shatter the laws of physics atop his bikes. From popping no-footed wheelies on his stunt BMW F800R to hopping around the place on his Beta Evo 300 4T (Trial bike), spectators simply went ballistic watching Chris execute stunt after stunt with unique 'German precision'.
On having a word with Pfeiffer, he says, "I am a great fan of motorsport and enjoy riding in motocross events, but I enjoy stunt-biking the most. After all, freestyle stunt-biking gives you the opportunity to be free, create, and show off your own style." Chris Pfeiffer's 9-day tour of India began on April 29, 2010. Having completed two (Delhi and Mumbai) of the five stopovers, Chris is now all-set to fly down to Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai on May 4th,6th and 7th respectively.

Mumbai Police To Patrol On Yamaha FZS
The Maharashtra Government is not impressed with the bland looking bikes used by the Mumbai Police. Forget speed, style is the new mantra for Aamchi Mumbai's Police force who want nothing but the stylish Yamaha FZ-S.
Thus the government plans to arm our city cops with 500 new bikes which will not only make them slightly faster but alot cooler too. The main reason for procurement of the bikes is the imitation of Europen and American police forces who have tool kits, walkie-talkie, ammunition, etc on board with them.

Ducati to Open its First Showroom in India
Italian bike maker, Ducati Motor Holding will open its first showroom in Mumbai this summer. Precision Motor is the official distributor of Ducati in India and have announced that they will open a showroom in every metro city in the country. Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore are the other cities where the company aims to open Ducati showrooms in the future. "India will not be a major market for Ducati now. But it will be five years from now," said a company representative.
Ducati Motor CEO Gabriele Del Torchio said, "I have asked MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta to bring the Grand Prix event to India. If this event can happen in Qatar, China, Malaysia and Australia, I think India also has a great chance with vast improvements in infrastructure and the F1 circuit plans firming up. If all goes well, we shall have a full-fledged motorcycle racing season in India soon."
