Engine Engineering to Fix the Flaws of Mahindra Stallio
India’s biggest utility manufacturer M&M, enter the motorcycle class with the unleash of Stallio 110cc bike. However the Mahindra which sales the motorbike under Mahindra 2 Wheelers trade, has been struggling to improve its sales ever from the times the bikes unleash in October 2010. The bike's production was stopped when Mahindra faced some defective clutch & gear parts flaws in Feb. Hence, nowadays Mahindra bikes are urging help of Italian style services company Engines engineering to sort out the flaws. Stallio sold forty-six units in the Feb this year. Engines engineering is performing the job straightly with in house Research & Development experts to modify the motorbike that will be reunviled soon.
"While it was a little issue, we had to be mind-ful of the consumer. We took holistic view of supply chain, technology managers, frontage end & came up with remedial solution. We had to minimize the changeability through modifying certain components," alleged Anoop Mathur, president, Mahindra 2 Wheelers. 'Rather than flood the organization, we have planned to cut-down the production of motorcycle Engines Engineering & the interior R & D team helped rectify issue." Mahindra bikes arranging to re-connect alongwith consumer to improve market share. 'We've done trial runs on Mahindra Stallio after rectification & are working on different style of communication," Mathur alleged.
Mahindra 2 wheelers reports increased sales
The new entrant in the biking world and young player in scooter segment, Mahindra 2 wheelers has registered increased sales in both the products i.e. scooter and bikes in November, 2010. The company has reported sales of 15, 854 vehicles in November 2010 that is 125 per cent higher than the same period sales, 7020, last year. The contribution of Mahindra bikes accounts for 1706 units only; the auto maker has launched a commuter bike called Mahindra Stallio few months back and the bike sales figures tell the story of initial success of it. Total cumulative sales from April to November 2010 stood at 107,888 vehicles, as compared to 29,778 vehicles for the same period last year, an increase of 262 percent.

President of Mahindra Two Wheeler and Member of the Group Executive Board Anoop Mathur said in a statement released to the media that the Indian buyers have shown their faith in the Mahindra Two wheeler vehicles and the same can be noticed in the recent monthly sales data. He further stated that the company has entered into the bike segment with the launch of Mahindra Stallio and the consumers response is positive; the firm is working on increasing the production in view to meet growing demands of products.
At present, Mahindra 2 wheelers has three scooters and a motorcycle including Mahindra Rodeo, Mahindra Duro, Mahindra Flyte and Mahindra Stallio. The auto company is also going to launch an entry level sports motorcyle- Mahindra Mojo- very soon. The Mahindra Rodeo with its very innovative, contemporary features is popular amongst the Indian youth, while the Mahindra Duro is positioned as a family scooter. The Flyte is the Indian woman’s two-wheeler of choice. The stylish Stallio creates a niche for itself in the motorcycles category.
Prices of Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Stallio
Mahindra Bikes have announced the prices of Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Stallio. Mahindra Mojo is available in one variant and it has been priced at Rs. 1,75,000 (ex-showroom Pune) and Stallio is available in two variants - Stallio kick start and Stallio electric start which are priced at Rs. 41000 and Rs. 44500 respectively.
The bike were unveiled by Mr. Anand Mahindra and Aamir Khan (who is now the brand ambassador for the company). Mahindra Mojo is a 300cc bike while stallio is a 110cc bike. The design of Mojo seems to be awesome and inspired by Buell bikes. Both the Mojo and Stallio come with a 4-year or 80,000 kms warranty. Mahindra Mojo will be on sale from January 2011, only prototype has been shown at the launch ceremony of Mahindra Bikes.
