Honda India Starts CBR250R Ads

Honda India has commenced advertisement for the CBR250R. The company has started using hoardings to publicize its upcoming offering. The hoarding was spotted in Patna by xbhpian Satyajit.

Although the advertisement asks people to refer the company’s website, it has nothing but a link to the global Honda CBR250R page.

Honda VTR 250 and CBX Twister in India next year

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Ltd, the forth biggest key player in Indian two wheeler market might launch two new more bikes in India. These both upcoming bikes are Honda VTR 250 and Honda CBX Twister. It is expected that these bikes might be launched by the end of 2011. The company has already announced the launch of Honda CBR 250R in India. Honda VTR 250 and Honda CBX Twister are powered by approx same powerplant. Both the upcoming bikes are having almost same appearance while the Honda CBR 250R carries sporty and robust looks. Already these bikes are running on the overseas roads and now expected in India. HMSI is already doing well in Indian two wheeler market with its well-liked bikes and scooters which include Honda CB Twister, Honda Unicorn, Honda CBF Stunner, Honda CB Shine, Honda Activa Scooter. These are the most popular entry-level and commuter vehicles of Honda.

 

The company has a big series of super sports bikes in India as well. The Indian version of Honda VTR 250 and Honda CBX Twister will be stuffed with a powerful 4 valve, 4 stroke, DOHC engine. Both the bikes might come up with V-Twin power technology that is known to produce eminent presentation with agile acceleration. Both the bikes would be available in different shades of colours that include Italian Red-Accurate Silver Metallic, Graphite Black-Accurate Silver Metallic and Pearl Sunbeam White-Matt Ray Silver. Honda CBX Twister and Honda VTR might be priced at Rs. 1.5 lakh in Indian market; however,there is no official words in this regard. Meanwhile, HMSI is going to bring its semi-sports bike Honda CBR 250R early next year. Booking for the bike is to start from February 1st, 2011. This bike is coming loaded with (ABS) Anti Lock Braking System. The bike might compete with Kawasaki Ninja 250R which is the flagship entry-level sports bike in India.

Honda may capture third place in two-wheeler sales

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India can capture the third place in two-wheeler sales, as suggested by market analytics. The company is setting up aggressive marketing plan to establish itself as mass bike manufacturer. It had launched a 110cc bike in market i.e. Honda CB Twister to test the market and the results are above expectations. Honda is also developing a 100cc bike for Asian market including India that will be priced somewhere around Rs 27,000. It is also reported to improve its dealer network to make available its bikes across India. The exciting fact comes out is Honda might outrun TVS Motors that is enjoying third place in two-wheeler sales. It is to be noted that Hero Honda is the largest player in the two-wheeler segment with a sales figures of 3.4 million units in November, 2010 while Bajaj Auto rests on the second place with 2.65 lakh units; TVS Motors sold 1.53 lakh two-wheelers that is only around 24 thousand units higher than Honda's. It may obtain long time to grab the third place but Honda scores over TVS when compared with technology and brand name. The company has a large series of commuter, sports and super sports bikes in India and Honda CB Twister, Honda Shine, Honda Unicorn, Honda CBF Stunner and Honda Activa are the flagship models of the company. Now, the company is going to launch Honda CBR250R by the month of January, 2010. Yamaha India has a big sequence of sports bike and getting good response, It has got fifth position.

The company has sold 30,310 units in the month of November 2010 compared to 24,600 units last year. The Yamaha R15, Yamaha FZ and Yamaha Fazer are the popular bikes in India by the Yamaha. Suzuki Motorcycle India is the number sixth largest two wheeler supplier in India and is reported huge growth of 76.75% in the month of November 2010 compared to November 2009. It's Suzuki Slingshot is the newly launched vehicle in India. India's number seventh two wheeler company is Mahindra two wheeler that has reported growth of 126% in the month of November 2010 compared to November 2009. According the Indian two wheeler market analysts, after the divorce of Hero-Honda Group, HMSI is to obtain great credit with its popular and flagship two wheeler portfolio and will outplay TVS Motors. The Honda India might sit on the no. 3 position in the upcoming financial years, as HMSI sales has crossed 1 million mark with the sales of 1.08 million units during April to November 2010 period while TVS Motors has sold 1.3 million units so this aim is not impossible for HMSI. It seems like HMSI will continuously post higher sales growth till the end of this financial year.
