Apart from the new Yellow shade, the tone of the red color has also been changed and is different from the previous red color. Similarly there is a slight difference between the black and blue colors from their previous variants. The red colored bike now also has the side flaps of the same color. The previous version had the black side flaps. The Yellow color has white colored side flaps and the paint quality is very good on it.

There is a new design on the side flaps which extends to the tank of the bike. There is a new R15 sticker above the left headlamp. Yamaha has also provided the rim stripe tape in the Yellow, red and black bikes. The ex-showroom price New R15 is around Rs 2,000 higher than the previous version which comes to around 99500.00.

2009 Yamaha FZ1 Naked....

Yamaha India now have some interesting plans to tackle this situation. Our sources tell us that the company has sent the FZ1 for homologation in India. We also hear that the Semi-Knocked Down kit or the SKD route is being considered for the bike. This will put the FZ1 in a much lesser price bracket - less than even the Honda CB1000R which is the cheapest imported litre-class bike currently available here.

The FZ1 is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled engine producing a maximum power of 150PS at 11000rpm. The bike will either sport a quarter fairing or will be a completely naked one. This Yamaha can prove to be the perfect option for the city as well as for those long Sunday morning rides. With the FZ1 entering the market and at a much affordable price, the war of the Japs is definitely going to be a level higher now.

Yamaha also plans to sell spare parts for its popular RX and RD series models as well. Read on for more. The company will be investing around Rs 240 crore in 2010-11 on developing more than two new India specific models, is also aiming to have a total of 600 dealerships by 2010. Expect the Yamaha Scooters and the R125 to make their Indian debut very soon. India is Yamaha's second biggest exporter and second to China.

The company, considering the current economic slowdown, expects to ship about 30,000 bikes, but the number of engines would depend on the worldwide situation. The company is looking at a much bigger number once the condition improves.

Now we are planning to launch a new bike and by the end of this year when Honda launches the new 800cc bike for the Indian market," HMSI Sales and Marketing head N.K Rattani. The new VFR1000 will be powered by 5-cylinder unit with 3 cylinder facing the front and 2 cylinders at the rear end.
