"While it was a little issue, we had to be mind-ful of the consumer. We took holistic view of supply chain, technology managers, frontage end & came up with remedial solution. We had to minimize the changeability through modifying certain components," alleged Anoop Mathur, president, Mahindra 2 Wheelers. 'Rather than flood the organization, we have planned to cut-down the production of motorcycle Engines Engineering & the interior R & D team helped rectify issue." Mahindra bikes arranging to re-connect alongwith consumer to improve market share. 'We've done trial runs on Mahindra Stallio after rectification & are working on different style of communication," Mathur alleged.

Royal Enfield, the classic Indian motorbike company has a firm wish to go through the Latin American market and wishes to begin this venture with Brazil. The company is apparently in talks with various contract manufacturers in Brazil. Royal Enfield is looking for a contract manufacturer as the corporation doesn't like to raise the stakes too high and enter an unknown market all by themselves. The Brazilian two-wheeler market is approximately 6-7million units a year and it would benefit Royal Enfield if they come into this market. This venture will also help them to produce a bigger footprint the world of two-wheelers. However, the company has not released any information confirming these plans.

Eicher Motors is planing to setup its largest ever capability to manufacture Royal Enfield Motorcycles in Andhra Pradesh. The company is in talks with the state government for acquiring 75 acres of land in City. The project which will see an investment of Rs 250 crore will be implemented in 2 phases. The first phase will construct a manufacturing facility for 1.5 lakh bikes per annum. The second phase will result in expand manufacture capability to 2.5 lakh units per year. The AP Government will offer various incentives, reimbursements and subsidised power as per the state’s industrial policy.

The company entered Indian Bike market few months back with some of its motor bike models like that of Vibgyor Sharp, Vibgyor Hunter and Vibgyor Gallop which is known to be the most famed of all. The recent case filed against the company definitely will prove to be a cause for the company's embarrassments and defamation among the customers thus badly affecting sales of the company. Hope the company will soon be able to overcome this embarrassment and will ensure to provide the customers with quality and efficient models inculcating its motor bikes with superior features and powerful engine capacity.

This is not confirmed by the Royal Enfield but it is expected that upcoming diesel engine bike may be revamped variant of Royal Enfield Classic 500cc or 350cc. Because both the bikes are most popular and flagship models in the market with heavy engine. Both the motorbikes are touching high sales in domestic and overseas market. In India, the Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc is in the waiting period of 8 to 10 months. And the company can get profit of the bikes popularity.

Royal Enfield is also concentrating to increase its base in the market, it has recently re-launched its popular bike Royal Enfield Fury in the overseas market. The bike might be available soon in India. Java was the 1st Indian motorcycle maker which had diesel bikes and got tremendous response from market but due to new emission norms and maintenance cost, the Royal Enfield had stopped the production of the bike in year 1996. Apart from Royal Enfield Bullet, Hero group is also claimed to have diesel engine bike in its stable very soon. The Royal Enfield is reported to equip over 400cc diesel engine in its diesel bikes to be launched in the 4th quarter of the next fiscal.

4x4 of the Year – Skoda Yeti: The Yeti will not catch the fancy of those looking for a traditional SUV where price-to-size ratio is paramount. It’s just not imposing enough. What this compact SUV has, however, is the appeal of a 4x4 with the convenience of a car built in. It looks attractive and has a tank-like build quality. While the Yeti is agile on tarmac, it is equally capable off tarmac. And the 140bhp diesel motor gives it an impressive turn of foot. The interiors are accurately what you expect from a car in this class and the flexible seating is a plus. Its everyday practicality and everywhere capability are strong points.

Just recently Honda has announced the CBR250R with ABS, which would be the first bike in India to sport ABS. However sources close to TVS Motors have confirmed about the company’s plans to launch the Apache 180 with ABS. Enthusiasts might recollect the Apache 180 ABS from the 2010 Auto Expo where it was displayed for the first time. Expect the TVS Apache 180 ABS to cost Rs. 8000/- more than the non-ABS bike.

The Yamaha SZ X had been launched last year in India and its third variant introduced at the end of year 2010. On the other hand, Ducati Monster 796 won the Import Bike of the Year Award while Bajaj Pulsar selected as Hall Pride of the Bike award.
