BMW to provide Free Satellite Radio

BMW Motorrad the world most popular super bike manufacturer and subsidiary of BMW Motors is going to make new experiment in its 2011 BMW Touring bikes in international market. The company is to provide Free Satellite Radio in all the 2011 models of Touring bikes. BMW's three most popular series such as R, and K bikes like R 1200 RT, K 1600 GT, and K 1600 GTL which are the touring motorcycles will be equipped with this features. The company has tied-up with German popular Radio named SIRIUS XM Radio. The production service will be started from January 2011. According to this tie-up, the SIRIUS Radio pack will have all the equipments and components to fit in the bikes.

The SIRIUS XM Radio to provide its services in BMW Motorcycle for one year, as per this tie-up. Now the rider will enjoy 135 channels and can listen latest sports commentary, News, Talk, entertainment and commercial free music service. The company might launch the same services in India as it is going to launch a few BMW bike in India. The BMW's coming bike are BMW K1300s, BMW S 1000RR, BMW R1200GS, BMW K 1600 GT and BMW K 1300 GT.

BMW Motorrad To Launch Superbikes In India

13 years back BMW has entered the Indian superbike scene with the F650 through a joint venture with the Hero Group, but things did not go as planned. BMW is planning another foray into the country's minuscule high-end motorcycle market and is planning to introduce its Motorrad range of super bikes in India which will cost in excess of Rs. 10 lakh.

However BMW India could take 1-2 years before anything is finalised. BMW Motorrad is a brand used by the German company for its motorcycles, which are in production since 1923. BMW Motorrad's G series, F series, R series and K series are available around the world. These bikes range from 450 cc capacity to 1300 cc capacity and are designed for off road, sport and touring purposes.
