The 4 year old relationship of Yamaha Motors and Fiat- for Yamaha MotoGP racing - has ,finally, come to an end that experienced a revive at Yamaha's MotoGP campaign by hammering Honda and Ducati. The split was already expected and is now proven by the two companies. Fiat today maintaining its words for No Italian Rider and No Money Policy departed from team Yamaha Racing of the year 2011 MotoGP circuit. Yamaha Motors have been the ever well-known name in the racing circuit and this departion of the corporation with Fiat is not to adversely affect its Yamaha's MotoGP performance.

Yamaha is to currently remain without a title sponsor in the premier class of MotoGP Championship. As per information, it is known that the tobacco company Marlboro is to resolutely remain entrenched as the principal sponsor of the Ducati MotoGP team for entire session of 2011 MotoGP and thus would dash many Italian fan's dream combination of Rossi-Ducati and Fiat.

Yamaha Reports 30.7% Annual and 69.7% Growth in December 2010

Yamaha India Motor which is a 100% subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Japan (YMC) is doing well in Indian market with its reliable and very good performer 2 wheelers. Yamaha Indian Motor is the 1st company who had stared the sports model in the commuter segment such as Yamaha R15. Yamaha India Motors is getting good response from market and reported the 69.7% sales growth with total units sales of 34839 in the month of December 2010 as compared to 20529 units in the same month the year of 2009. This is a big achievement by the Yamaha in Indian market.

The annual report of the bike company is positive and in favour. It had clocked sales of 350264 two wheeler in 2010 as compared to 26,7895 units in 2009 which is the 30.7% more than last year. YIM is the doing well in the domestic market along with export. It had sold 258,987 units in 2010 as compared to 218,625 units in 2009 which accounts 18.5% more than previous year. On the other hand, it has achieved 85% growth in this year with total sales of 91,277 units as a compared to 49,270 units in 2009. The Yamaha India has exported 8272 bikes in the month of December 2010 as compared to 6917 motorbikes in the year of 2009, while the domestic sale is almost just double with 26567 units as compared to 13612 units in 2009.

Yamaha registered 70 per cent growth in 2010

India Yamaha Motor rode at a brisk pace in 2010 backed by new product offerings and novel marketing initiatives. The company clocked sales of 350,264 motorcycles in 2010 as compared to 267,895 motorcycles in 2009, a growth of 30.7% over last year. The domestic market recorded sales of 258,987 units in 2010 vs. 218,625 units in 2009, a growth of 18.5% while in export markets, a phenomenal growth of 85% was achieved with the sale of 91,277 motorcycles in 2010 vs. 49,270 units in 2009. In December alone, the yamaha india sold 34,839 units this year vs. 20,529 units in December 2009, thereby registering a growth of 69.7%. In domestic markets, the company almost doubled last year’s sales, with 26,567 units in December 2010 vs. 13,612 units in the same month last year.

The export statistics stood at 8,272 units in December 2010 while 6,917 motorcycles were exported in December 2009. “We are pleased with our achievements this year, wherein we have been able to strengthen our brand image and cement our place in the hearts of our esteemed customers. Along with achieving several milestones, the year was marked by various new initiatives to enhance our relationship with our customers. All our product launches replicated Yamaha’s DNA of Performance, Innovation & Design and are in sync with consumers’ expectations. Our initiatives such as the Yamaha Safe Riding Science, yamaha r15 One Make race, Yamaha Fiesta, Yamaha Riding Clinic, Pan India Yamaha SZ Tour Rally were organized to promote biking culture in India while practicing safe riding techniques. We are confident that we will build on our success of 2010 with a strong performance in 2011 as well.” said Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO & Managing Director, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.

New Yamaha R15 to come in January

The new version of Yamaha R15 is going to be launched on January 25, 2011 in India. It is expected that the bike will have much difference from the present version. The differences in the new make will give better look than the current version and also much better than many other bikes by the competitors. Revamped Yamaha R15 on cards

Yamaha India, the leading two wheeler maker in India is going to introduce a revamped version of Yamaha R15. The new Yamaha R15 is expected to be unveiled next month. The bike may be having upper price tag than its existing version. Yamaha R15 is the first sports and modish bike model in India that has created long list of its fans.

The bike will come with advanced powerplant which will be fuel efficient. Other expected changes are split seats, raised rear seat, wider rear tyre, new alloy wheel design, rear wheel hugger, new exhaust, LED tail lamps etc. Yamaha R15 has a Liquid cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC engine. Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship

Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship, which started in Chennai this year, came to an end as the fifth and the final leg concluded at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai. The racing track was set a buzz with roaring excitement as hordes of youngsters turned up to witness two days of biking expertise shown by the participants. Yamaha had organized this championship as part of SIDVIN-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2010. This year, Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship was open to participation from both Yamaha and Non-Yamaha customers. Yamaha made the participants experience more exciting by mounting Daytona Racing Kits in the bikes.

No wonder variomatic scooters in the Indian two-wheeler industry come second on the list (after upto 150 cc commuters) for their practicality and ride-ability to almost all the members of the family. Trying to catch the golden goose, major Yamaha bikes manufacturers have come up with a noticeable range in scooter segment as well and the latest in the league being Japanese two-wheeler giant- Yamaha. After a rather impressive sales chart in commuter bikes segment, the company plans to foray into the scooter market too. R&D for the new scooter has already started and the company promises to showcase a product which meets the challenges and requirements of Indian road conditions the best.
