Ducati Corse has released the first pictures of Valentino Rossi in their colours, posing with his Desmosedici GP11 bike at their annual pre-season 'Wroom' event. Rossi has retained the flouroscent green colour on his leathers but its a fashion calamity combined with Ducati's red. And his Bike has it too! The figure '46' on the nose is of course flouro-green along with the seat border, tank and the tail piece.

Nicky Hayden meanwhile has matching the red with black this year. The AMG logo is also present on both Rossi and Nicky hayden's bike and leathers. The bright livery of Rossi's motorbike is a reminisce of his wild paintjobs during the 125cc and 250cc days with Aprilia. Hope he rides so too.

Ducati, the ever faultless name in the sports bike segment is all prepared with its new manufacturing facility in Thailand. As per latest information received, it is known that the Bologna Bullets for Southeast Asian countries are to be developed at this new facility set by Ducati. absolutely the union workforce of the company is a bit worried taking their job being shipped overseas. The company has already made it clear that the new factory established in Thailand is to produce motor bikes for the rising economies like that of India, China and other South East Asian countries.

The basic cause behind the famous company to set up this new facility is to compete with existing manufacturers like those of Honda, Yamaha, KTM, Harley Davidson and Brembo in a better way. It is also expected of the company to lower down prices for its all efficient and astonishing motor bikes with the setting up of this new facility. The companies these days with a view to increase their tariff with products are running towards setting up assembly plants locally that helps them with the same. Some of the company's ever famous Sports Bikes are Ducati Monster, Ducati Streetfighter, Ducati Superbike and Ducati Sports Classic. Ducati also is to approach the Indian markets soon with its recently designed Ducati Diavel.

The Ducati prototype which Valentino Rossi will ride in the 2011 MotoGP season was officially presented on Wednesday, with the Italian’s own individual touch added. The team’s technical chief Filippo Preziosi hinted that Ducati had significant progress plans for the new motorcycle, and said it should address the issues that prevented a title challenge in 2010. Valentino Rossi’s inauguration as an official Ducati rider took a further step at Madonna di Campiglio on Wednesday, along with team partner Nicky Hayden he was on hand to unveil the Desmosedici GP11 that both with ride in the 2011 MotoGP World Championship. Valentino Rossi spoke for the first time as a Ducati rider at the Wrooom 2011 occasion at Madonna di Campiglio on Tuesday, satisfying the demands of both fans and media as he discussed the Desmosedici.

Complete in the individualised fairings that each rider will display this season, Rossi’s machine – personalised by Aldo Drudi – had hints of the Italian’s famous yellow, as the prototype was revealed for the first time. Other popular bikes of Ducati are Ducati Hypermotard 1100, Ducati Monster 1100, Ducati Monster 696, Ducati Streetfighter, and Ducati Monster 1100 S etc. Following his first Test on the Desmosedici in Valencia last November, Rossi had surgical treatment on his shoulder and said: “The big difficulty in Valencia was me. I had a lot of pain in the shoulder and not enough energy. This is a different bike and you have to ride it more sharply. This is my work at Ducati, to improve it and make it an simple and easier bike and have fewer risks in all the races. Stoner was unbelievable in some races last year but made some faults and ended the Championship in fourth no. So far we have been working on easier things such as rider position, handlebars, foot pegs for Sepang, and there we will begin to work on improving the bike.”

New electronic system, the EFI Lite, from Kinetic Motors in partnership with Ducati Energia of Italy is announced to be released with the Indian two wheelers soon by the approaching year that is 2011. The system is complete efficient enough being environment friendly with Electronic Fuel Injection system and advanced features. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 cc, Yamaha R15, Hero Honda Karizma ZMR, Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS, TVS Apache 160 RTR, Hero Honda Glamour and Honda Stunner are coupled with Electronic Fuel Injection system. The electronic two and three wheelers are now gaining popularity and with this new launch from the company, it is expected grow all the further. Plus the environment these days counts for high need of introducing electric vehicles to the market so as to reduce global warming and ratio of pollution on our earth.

In comparison with the BS III /EURO III emission standards, the Electronic Fuel Injection system are proved better which causes low emissions and enhances performance of the vehicle. In order to manage the additional components in the Fuel Injection System such as Fuel pumps, Lamba sensors, Throttle body, Injectors, Ignition coil, etc ECU is needed to be calibrated and finely tuned with the vehicles. ECU is a part of EFI system that is capable enough of managing up to 18 to 24 inputs or outputs that minimizes the emissions with two wheelers.

Ducati India aims to sell more than a couple of thousand bikes annually in the country by 2014-15, a figure to reckon with considering the company sells around 8,000 bikes per year in Italy, its home. Ducati, however, does not plan to start completely-knocked-down (CKD) manufacturing in India anytime soon. "Italy is the biggest market for us, where we sell around 8,000 bikes a year", informed Ashish Chordia, chief executive of Ducati India. Ducati started its journey from Italy way back in 1926 when the company was founded by the Ducati brothers. "India would be one of the major markets for Ducati in the next years, we are very positive about our growth here", said Mirko Bordia, CEO, Ducati Asia Pacific.

The company, that entered the Indian market in November 2009 and had sold 12 bikes that year, managed to sell 100 bikes in 2010 from its two dealerships in the country. Ducati India is now all set to open 11 more dealerships across India by June next year including cities like Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Kolkata. It opened its third showroom in the country in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, and already has around 15 bookings. "We could have sold over 150 bikes in 2010, but did not have supply. We see fine demand for our bikes here, and are planning to sell over 300 bikes in 2011," Chordia said adding that Ducati is the only superbike maker in the country which is offering its entire global bikes variety in India as well. The company is bringing in three new models of Ducati bikes in January next year, the Ducati 848 Evo, 1198 SP and the new Diavel. at present the Monster M 796, priced at Rs 8.2 lakh, is the most popular replica in the country.
